Athletics

BLIS is a full member of ISSA (International School Sports Association)  for the international boys’ and girls’ sports tournaments including football, basketball, and volleyball.  These are annual tournaments that are hosted at the member schools (England, Scotland, Spain, and Portugal).

We are also founder and full member of local TISL(Turkish International Schools League)  where we organize  tournaments for various sports including football, basketball, volleyball and badminton.  These tournaments are hosted by schools in Ankara, Istanbul and in Kyrenia, Northern Turkish Republic of Cyprus.  There are divisions for boys and girls in Middle School and High School.

Middle School and Elementary School teams also compete in Turkish Ministry of Sports School Sports tournament such as tennis, skiing, fencing, basketball, volleyball, snowboard, swimming and gymnastics.
