MS LANGUAGE ACQUISITION

BLIS believes that language acquisition in a multilingual setting fosters international-mindedness, intercultural comprehension, and language proficiency essential for global citizenship. BLIS Middle School provides second language courses recognized by the MYP, including French, German and Spanish. In Grades 6-8, all students engage in the study of a second foreign language, while our international students also have the option to acquire Turkish as an additional language in grades 5-8.

Our program is designed to enhance our students’ proficiency in listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to create an engaging and motivating learning atmosphere, employing authentic materials, dramatic and role-play activities, interactive games, cultural exploration, regular evaluation and valuable feedback for students.

In conclusion, our aim is for this language learning journey to be a lifelong and enjoyable pursuit.
